I don’t often get a chance to blog about my customers - mainly because Little Wishes Hire adds the little things to the event… contact is usually via email and I set up the chosen items before the bride and groom arrive at the venue.
This has its benefits - it’s a smooth process and it gives the bride and groom one less thing to think about and organise - but it also means I don’t get to share in the build up or watch all the excitement of the day unfold.
However, back in April I was contacted by a lovely lady called Christina.
Christina said she was interested in hiring our Rustic Love Letters for now but would be adding to her hire as the months progress and she works out her theme and colours. After talking to Christina I knew this wedding was going to be right up Little Wishes’ street. And to
be perfectly honest, I have a little soft spot for how openly chatty and warm Christina is.
Christina found out about Little Wishes Hire through a mutual friend, Ant from
'Ant Maxted Photography'
(who is brilliant by the way – look him up www.antmaxtedphotography.com).
Christina has booked Ant for her wedding day photos. Ant told Christina about our stock and she got straight in touch. She said she scrolled through the website and she knew she wanted to have Little Wishes items on the day.
We love hearing this!
After a few emails back and forth about the theme Christina and Craig (her husband-
to-be) were going for, I just had to get to know them more and get permission to blog about their relationship and the lead up to their wedding.
Christina and Craig haven’t been shy in letting me know that they met through a dating website. This used to be such a taboo (when I was younger anyway, sigh) but now it’s definitely the norm and if it ends with an “I Do” you can’t get better than that.
Christina knew exactly the man she wanted in her life:
One who shares her passion for life
Isn’t afraid to show feelings
Likes staying up until the early hours drinking rose lemonade and chatting
Enjoys deep conversation about anything from the past to the future and dreams they have.
Okay, so sometimes it’s hard to find a man to tick all the boxes and Christina probably had to block a few pursuers along the way (you know the type)!
Finally, Craig’s profile popped up and after two weeks of chatting they realised they had loads in common - Craig even secretly quite liked rose lemonade!
So they met up and hit it off straight away. In fact, you might say they knew instantly there was something special here, as on 5th October 2014 Christina earned the nickname of ‘buttercup’ from Craig and they became a couple.
They've shared loads of fun times together,
including numerous trips to the cinema sharing in their love of films, a big holiday to the USA and most recently buying their first house together.
After 18 months together Craig and Christina were totally in love. Craig decided to whisk Christina away to the famous love lock bridge in Paris and planned a proposal with a lot of thought. He bought a gorgeous padlock engraved with their names and the date they got together, he attached the ring to a ribbon and wrote on the tag;
“Will You Marry Me Mrs Buttercup?”
So there you have it, Craig and Christina are now busy planning their wedding day.
I'm so so excited for the next blog coming very soon! I’ll be writing about the venue they have chosen and all the little
things they are looking for to bring their chosen theme together. Their visit to the USA has had a big influence on their choices.
To be continued...
