So, last Summer we decided to add Fete Games to our hire items. In October we started putting the word out that we would be doing this, by the beginning of February we kind of started to regret it when surrounded by wood, paint, glue and stencils! The warehouse was a constant mess, not to mention our garden and conservatory!
Unfortunately I made the mistake of telling interested customers that we would be making them ready for hire in February, this put us under huge pressure as painting our new DANCE light up letters had taken much longer than anticipated (5 coats of paint later...!).
In the beginning we were really excited and full of ideas. As the weeks went on everything seemed to take forever, especially waiting for paint to dry before the next coat and little mistakes in between. I have to give Simon such credit, he rarely lost enthusiasm (unlike me) and it was him who came up with the Tin Cans on a gate idea (my favourite of the games).
Finally after about 6-8 weeks we had finished!! Pass us the wine!
We called Turvey House who have some of the most gorgeous grounds and asked permission to set the games up for photos there. Thankfully they said yes! We did it and the photos are perfect! The sun came out and the rain went away for the day. My dad also helped with set up which was a saviour as lugging those heaving things across a land was hard work!
Now they are ready to hire and in just 24 hours we had 5 enquiries for them and in less than a week have been invited to exhibit them at an event.
so get in touch quickly to book yours!
