I am lucky enough that when starting up Little Wishes Hire I had my foot already in the door so to speak. My husband Simon runs Wings Events Limited and has done for over 10 years. After my maternity leave I worked for him for a while and got to know some of his contacts a little better.
In the events industry its so important to help each other out and not be too competitive as you never know when you might need their help. I'm lucky enough that a lot of Simons contacts already recommend Little Wishes Hire and take the time to come and chat with me if they spot me out and about. This has come in handy, no more so that last week.
Brampton Grange had decided to open their doors in the evening to future bride and grooms to look around and see how why lighting is so important to their big day and also meet some of their favourite suppliers. Such a great idea as a lot of people work during the week and like to spend time with family at the weekend, so to pop out in the evening is perfect.
Unfortunately I couldn't make it, so instead a local DJ and events Stylist with a load of experience stepped in! Potter Group were at the event to show off their lighting and sound skills and said they would happily have my lights there and not only that but recommend them to customers for me! Brilliant!
I did manage to get to the open evening for a quick 5 minute scoot around and it looked fantastic, needless to say the evening was a hit with over 26 couples attending within the 2 hour slot.
Well done Brampton Grange and thank you Potter Group Events!
